Reviving Religion in the Self and Life

By Abu Abdur-Rahman Omar Ibn Alhagie Abdullah Ceesay Ibn Alhagie Jibel Fana Sow Ceesay

This book is not merely another addition to what has already been written about religion but confronts the weakening of religion's hold and the erosion of its understanding and its influence upon reality, in a world in which transformations follow swiftly upon one another, and in which ideas and cultures intermingle. This book affirms that Islam was never a mere heritage to be preserved, nor slogans to be raised, but a comprehensive system of life that understands the human being, cultivates reason, purifies the spirit, and organizes society.
